Rock Valley Credit Union Named “2024 Best Places To Work For In Illinois” by Best Companies Group and Illinois SHRM, and “2024 Best Credit Union to Work For” by American Banker for third consecutive year
LOVES PARK, Ill. (Aug. 28, 2024) – Rock Valley Credit Union (RVCU), a local and independent financial institution that offers personal solutions for individual and family banking needs, has been recognized as a “2024 Best Places to Work For in Illinois” organization announced by Best Companies Group and Illinois Society of Human Resources (SHRM). Along with that honor, for a third straight year, RVCU was also named by American Banker as a “2024 Best Credit Unions to work for” organization. This is also the second-straight year RVCU is in the top ten nationally for American Banker’s rankings.

Best Workplaces in Illinois is a research-driven program from Best Companies Group that examines a company’s practices, programs and benefits. As part of the application process, employees receive a survey from Best Workplaces to provide feedback. This employee engagement and satisfaction survey has over 75 statements that employees respond to along with two open-ended and seven demographic questions. Results from the survey are analyzed and categorized to eight Core Focus Areas which include: leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, pay and benefits, role with supervisor, training development and resources and overall satisfaction.
Meanwhile, for Best Credit Unions to Work for, the 70 credit unions that made the list were scored and ranked through two surveys with the help of Best Companies Group. The first survey was completed by employees to measure their satisfaction and covered multiple areas, including leadership and planning, corporate culture and communication and overall engagement. The second form reviewed and weighed the benefits and policies each credit union offered and more.
According to American Banker,70 credit unions made the list this year. The credit unions range in size from as small as 25 employees to as large as 3,327 employees.
