The RVCU Difference

Whether you’re opening your first savings account, buying your forever home, or planning for retirement, Rock Valley Credit Union is here for wherever life takes you. Since 1968, we’ve provided local, personalized guidance for all your financial needs. We know each member’s situation is unique, and we work hard to understand your goals and find the best solutions to make your dreams a reality. We offer a full range of personal financial services and are dedicated to education and empowerment — meeting you where you are and guiding you with trusted advice, coaching, and support.

The RVCU Difference

WHO WE ARE:

With more than 15,000 members, we have the strength of a big bank with the personal touch of a local business. We understand that members’ needs are unique, and so are the solutions we recommend.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Finances can be intimidating, but they don’t have to be. The RVCU team is here to be your advocate, your confidant, and your sounding board. We can help you understand and evaluate options for every financial scenario.

THE BEST OF TECHNOLOGY:

Our digital services provide 24/7/365 banking, and our mobile app is both easy and convenient — you can even use it to schedule appointments with our team outside of normal branch hours. Our Personal Teller Machines (PTMs) serve members and non-members alike with enhanced ATM features and access to a live teller for more complicated or personal transactions.

THE POWER OF EDUCATION:

Educating members is central to our mission. That’s why we offer a range of financial tools and classes to our members — the same classes that our team members take! Every employee at RVCU is also a member, so we speak from personal experience when we help you make financial decisions for yourself and your family.

The CU Difference

There are a lot of similarities between banks and credit unions, with a few very important distinctions. Read on to find out why one in every three Americans is a credit union member!

RVCU staff celebrating "I Love My Credit Union Day"

LIKE BANKS, CREDIT UNIONS:

  • Are safe and trustworthy; insured by the National Credit Union Administration, a governmental agency
  • Offer the same products, services, and technology (but often with better rates!)

UNLIKE BANKS, CREDIT UNIONS:

  • Were built by and for members; led by a volunteer member board

  • Serve anyone within the field of membership

  • Are not-for-profit; share profits back with members

  • Are local and independent, but often collaborate with other CUs to better serve members

Board of Directors

RVCU’s Board of Directors is dedicated to ensuring the financial growth and security of the credit union on behalf of the entire membership. Each of our board representatives are member-elected volunteers who serve a three-year term.

I love planting new flowers in my garden with my kids and going for bike rides or walks up to our local park to play! Spring with family is best!

Spring cleaning!

I like going on walks in the nicer weather, the end of seasonal depression! 🙂
